Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. The actress is American actor in stage and films. Her most famous role is as Teri an ardent attorney Teri Jospehson in the Showtime television series Soul Food. After her wedding the actress is now known as Nikki Kodjoe. While growing up within Baltimore, Maryland, she was always interested in acting. When she participated in a Maryland high school competition in her early years of schooling, she won the prize for the most outstanding actress. After working in theater and 'The Washington Ballet Company she graduated with a degree in acting from 'New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love was her debut major role. Then came movies like 'Boogie Nights Spark & Blue Streak. Soul Food was an immensely loved TV show. Her TV appearances included Second Time Around and Empire. Prior to that she was in a number of stage productions. Parker with a strong political interest and is married to model/actress Boris Kodjoe. They have two children.
Contractor, born in Mumbai in India, was raised in Nigeria up until she turned seven. She'd been exposed to numerous travel experiences and other cultures since a young age. The boarding school she attended was in London between seven and nine, after which her family relocated towards Toronto, Canada, where she spent the majority of her childhood and young adulthood. Contractor was a wonderful student in Toronto and educated to become a classical ballet dancer. She attended an Etobicoke School of the Arts an specialized arts public high school where she not only danced but also studied theater. Contractor began her acting career at 16 and was a part of the theater for a decade after spending ten years in dance. Following her graduation from high school Contractor was awarded a scholarship by The University of Toronto to pursue the dual field of sociology and psychology. She also earned a master's degree in Theater. Contractor with a degree in sociology, having completed her university degree, went on to audition during an open call for Pericles which was held at the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival, [Ontario Canadain Canada] and was selected for the part. She received rave reviews for her performance in the 92 shows performed this play, which was named the production of the year by Canadian reviewers in 2002. The conservatory at Stratford accepts eight men with four females, along with a couple of other people for a 20 weeks of crash courses. Her place in the upcoming production was secured, and she was offered the part in the play as Hermia.
